Release

When prisoners can be released is determined by the sentencing laws, the sentencing judge, and the Parole Board.

When eligible, an offender’s case is heard by the Parole Board who decides whether to grant parole, and if there are any conditions of release.

If parole is not granted a date will be set for the next hearing.
