Gill Hood from CareNZ presents a graduate with her certificate.Six wāhine recently graduated from the Drug Treatment Unit (DTU) programme at Arohata Prison.

It was an emotional day for the graduates, who were joined by Corrections Minister Kelvin Davis, Corrections and CareNZ staff, and the numerous volunteers who supported them along the way.

The three month DTU programme is run in partnership with CareNZ and helps women address alcohol and drug issues while also giving them skills to maintain these positive changes on release.
