Parenting programmes

There are programmes for parents and caregivers in the community and inside prison.

Parenting Support Services

Parenting support services are available in all Corrections run prisons to eligible participants. The services support people to:

• learn skills to be a more confident parent,
• stay connected with a child while in prison,
• strengthen their relationships after release.

After release from prison, participants continue to be supported to use what they have learnt.

How to access these programmes

Speak with your Case Manager or Probation Officer to discuss being referred to these programmes. Parenting programs are run at all Corrections run prisons, and at all community corrections sites.
